Why not have a Children’s Sports Party?

Year on year Play Sportz has been asked to do more and more birthday parties in Wimborne, Ferndown, Ringwood, Broadstone and Poole. For us, it is probably one of the best times, as we celebrate the birthday of our little champions.

We will design a sports party to best suit the birthday boy/girl. We take into account the numbers, the mix and the age group to ensure we get everyone as involved as much as possible. We can cater for children from 2 – 7 years old. It is especially important to know what excites the birthday child, that way we can incorporate ideas specifically to meet his/her needs.

The party sports drills and games are based very much on what we do in our classes…lots of fun..lots of running with encouragement all the way. We use footballs, rugby balls, tennis balls as well as playing popular games like stuck in the mud, British bull dog. If there are more girls than boys we tend to use less football games as this often puts some girls off.

The party itself lasts an hour. The Sports Party Coach will turn up at least 30mins before the start time to set up but more importantly keep everyone active as the children arrive.

We stop several times for drink breaks as it gets very thirsty work for the little ones.

At the end, we ask the birthday boy/girl to present medals to their friends, and we then present the birthday boy/girl with his/her own trophy with their name and dob inscribed on the base plate.

Sports Party Cost:
£160 for up to and including 20 children
£180 for up to and including 30 children
Additional cost of £10 if over 10 miles

A £40 non refundable deposit is required to secure the date and get trophy and medals ordered. The balance must be paid no later than 24hrs before the event.

We can only do Sports Parties outside our usual class hours. However, we are normally free on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays if required.

TIPS for arranging Birthday Parties

1. Pick a hall that has a large open play area. Preferably with no furniture as this causes a hazard.
2. Try and set up the party tables away from the play area, or set up after the games.
3. Try and keep the parents to one end of the room…from experience they sometimes sit anywhere and this starts to encroach on the play area.
4. Have labelled bottle of water for the invitees as well as name tags
5. See if there is an outside area that is suitable…always better outside.
6. Be aware of the sound in the room. Sometimes halls and rooms can become very echoey, and when added with parents talking becomes very difficult for the children to listen and understand instructions.
7. Please avoid other entertainments going on at the same time i.e. bouncy castles, face painting, climbing frames, as this distracts the children, and they then tend to peel off leaving the birthday boy/girl left with just a handful of friends.
